I’m asked constantly “can I get a grant to buy a home”? The answer is almost always yes…. but; There are certain stipulations that have to be met in order for someone to get a government or private grant to purchase a home. They want to know whether you are purchasing a home for an investment or if you’re going to actually live in it. Either way you can get funding. Let’s get more specific. I’m going to cover some of the categories that are funded and hopefully give people a better idea of where to apply, so it will make their granting experience quicker, faster, and easier.
     First I want to talk about the home owners that just want a home to live in. Being that 2009’s real estate market has been less than impressive. The government is taking evasive action to help people get into homes. They are pushing companies to lower interest rates, and encouraging banks to issue loans. They need homes that have been foreclosed on to be purchased in the market. This is what makes our economy go round, “when the money is flowing the show keeps going”.
